  2. Science and our public schools teach determinism
  3. But reality is not deterministic
  4. Reality is actually “MAGICAL”
  5. Reality is above and beyond cause and effect
  6. Religions try to capture/express that magic
  7. They assert immortality and ultimate meaning
  8. In doing that, they appear to be thinking WISHFULLY — in that science denies both
  9. But that’s because the evidence-against-religion is much more obvious than the evidence-for-religion
  10. But, once recognized, the evidence-for-religence is almost undeniable
  11. We tend not to recognize the evidence-for because we’re not as smart as we think we are
